Dallas Museums
(Dallas, Texas - TX, USA)

Everything always has to be 'big' in Texas and the selection of museums in Dallas is no exception. Even though the city of Dallas doesn't claim to be among America's oldest or most cultured, it has more than a dozen museums and exhibitions covering art, African American culture, women's achievements, the history of flight and rail transportation, and even collections of art in miniature.

Perhaps the most famous of them all is the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza in Dallas, located in the building from where Lee Harvey Oswald shot President Kennedy. Here you can learn all about the conspiracy theories that surround one of the greatest political shocks in American history. Several of the other museums are located in the wonderful Fair Park, on the outskirts of Dallas, making it convenient to visit several in a single day.
